Ever had a "senior moment?"  Everyone has, and you don't have to be that old to have one.  You can have one every month.  Just grab a red hat, don a purple outfit, and join The Senior Moments, an official chapter of the Red Hat Society.
What is The Red Hat Society?  A worldwide organization of ladies of "a certain age" who come together to enjoy life.  You can learn more by going to the Red Hat Society Website.  Just click on the logo to the right.
The Senior Moments is one chapter of this organization.  The chapter was founded by Paula Clark, the "Queen Mother."  We are located in Murray Kentucky.  If you would like to join us for a meeting, you can contact the Queen Mother by email.  Click on the link below to ask for meeting information.  It's a new chapter, registered in September of 2003, and we are accepting members.
There's a lovely poem called "Warning" by Jenny Joseph which is the basis of the Red Hat Society attitude.  Or maybe we should say "hattitude".  It says, in part,

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple
With a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.

And ends with the words-

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people that know me are not too shocked and surprised
When I am old and start to wear purple.
